Production Update: Proofing

Hello all,
Our team just recently returned from Gen Con, where we got to meet some of you! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth and said hello, and if you were participating in Gen Can't, we hope you had a good time from afar.
Before we left for Gen Con we completed all our internal proofing, and selected a printer. This part of the process is called pre-press. The next step will be getting the physical samples to approve before we can enter production. We're going to be pretty cautious during that part of the process, as we especially want to make sure that the gold-foiled tokens and meeple are spot-on, so we're willing to sample a few times if that's what it takes to get it just right. We'll keep you all posted!

A Note on BackerKit Charges

Hi, everybody!
There's been some confusion about how cards are charged in BackerKit (on our end, as well!) so we wanted to post a clarification.
BackerKit does not charge your card right away for any additional charges. You will not be charged until we lock the BackerKit, which is usually toward the end of production, so at least a few months. We will be sure to post updates before the BackerKit closes, so the charges do not come as a surprise.
If you only ordered a single copy through the Kickstarter and are not planning on adding additional copies or changing your shipping country, you don't need to worry about this, as you won't incur any additional charges beyond your pledge that was paid to Kickstarter.

Gilded Mayor Meeple Unlocked!

Well, you all certainly didn't waste much time! The BackerKit was only open for a few hours before you unlocked the Gilded Mayor Meeple for the Deluxe Edition. The Mayor will now have a custom sculpt with a gilded finish! As a reminder, below is a rough mockup of what the Mayor will eventually look like.

BackerKit Invites Sent

Pledge Manager Update — Test Invites Sent

Greetings, backers!
We wanted to update you on the progress of the pledge manager, which is going through the good folks at BackerKit. We've just sent out a small number of test emails to make sure everything is working correctly. If you're one of the 5% of backers to receive a test invite and you notice anything that looks incorrect, please let us know! Once we verify that all the test emails went out successfully we will send invites to all backers.
